The first stage of the task is to catch "Respectable" personal bests for the major species which stand up for a "Weekend" angler. I have never held any world, national or even lake records, though the Big Eye Travally I threw back into the Indian Ocean without weighing it a couple of years back may, with hindsight, have been a mistake!

The longer term, "Ulimate Ambition" is to hold either an IGFA World Record, or a British Record Fish Commitee record, for one or more species. There are loads of species to go for; so this last stage should only take 30 years or so.

Excepting Pike, I have only targetted specimen fish a few times over the past two years, with some small successes. However, I'm going to give it my best shot and Who Dares Wins!

My sea fishing abroad has been much more targetted though and the results are more respectable as a result. I have kept records of all of my notable catches over the years and these will be used as the most immediate targets to beat, followed by "Weekender" targets and "Dream" targets.

My coarse; game and sea fishing PBs are all set out on the site and will hopefully improve rapidly, as each species is targetted, or I'll be digging out the golf clubs.
